We hired Chris to do the plans and build an extension and refit our kitchen.
Chris did not complete the work, he left me with a half finished kitchen, no water in the kitchen, no worktops, cooker or hob along with a number of other half finished jobs. All this with a 2 year old in the house and me being pregnant.
not only this but he didnt even do me the courtesy of phoning me to tell me, i just came home one evening to find that all his tools and equipment had been removed and then i got a text message telling me he was not able to return to site, no explanation except for citing "personal reasons". He would not return my calls, texts or emails.he also left us is a situation where the money we had left to pay him was not enough to employ another person to finish the work off. maybe i was naive and paid him too much but i trusted him and he let me down.
he would not even help us by giving us contact details of the people that he had been using which meant things like the plumbing cost more as the new plumber had to work out what had already been done.
we paid chris to take the project through building control and he did not do this meaning that it was left to me to get sign off myself.
I would recommend that you do not employ Chris as there will always be the potential that he will decide not to finish the job and leave you in a very hard situation possibly out of pocket and with a lot of hassle trying to sort it all out.

Work History
I have worked for many years as a site manager and a project manager for large construction companies, working both within the residential and commercial sector, and have decided after a lot of years for working for someone, to set up my own business and work for myself. This has given me invaluable insight and enabled me to build up a large portfolio of contacts so i can always get the right person for the job.
