Between are schedules it took a little while to get a time arranged but David was always clear in his communication and when he undertook the painting work was quick and efficient. I will be using his services again as/when required.

Thank you David, lovely chap, worked really hard. The job was more complicated than expected, however he did great.

What I thought would be a simple case of removing an existing cooker hood and screwing in a new one proved alot more involved when it became clear that a new cavity hole would be needed, higher up to the original, and the old one sealed up. Despite a few challenges feeding the ducting through the new cavity hole, in the end, the mission was completed with aplomb.

I cannot recommend David highly enough. An absolute professional and a very nice man! We are so pleased with the work, we will absolutely be using him again for all of our future projects and will recommend him to everyone we know. Thank you David! :-)

Following various visits / quotations, we largely chose Blankstone due to head-man David himself. His professionalism and attitude of helping and putting the customer above all else was immediate, and continued throughout the 5 week process for our complete kitchen renovation. David and his team did an excellent job, were extremely hard-working, carried out the entire work on time and to budget, and were always very courteous to ourselves and our living arrangements whilst the kitchen was out of action. David assisted us with the overall design, providing key recommedations where appropriate, and kept us informed of progress on a regular basis. The team could certainly be trusted, the end product fully met our expectations and we would definitely recommend them / use them again ourselves in the future.

David and his team were a great find for us. They were easy to speak to, kept the job to budget and provided us with a very good end product. The quality of brickwork is very good and the standard of build is unquestionably good. The workman were not only thorough but also respectful of the house and kept the site clean and tidy as they worked. I would have no hesitation in using blankstone again on future projects. You know where you stand with Blankstone and David can be trusted to run the site with little intervention from the owner.

If you are looking for a builder with exceptional personal integrity, who obviously takes great pride in his work and who can deliver on his promises then David is your man. His prices are competitive and the quality of the result is just right. We asked David to provide us with a fixed price, fixed duration contract for a rear extension, loft conversion and complete internal refurbishment of our, 3-bedded terrace, including a built-in wardrobe and office. We wanted to do the majority of our own purchasing and were only available for 1-2 hours a week to visit the site. David brought this 5-month, 6-figure project in on budget and had us moving back in within a week of the specified date! The sign of a good main contractor is how well they deal with problems which arise; this is where David excelled - we were always able to come to an agreement and not once did I feel he was "trying it on". When problems with the main subcontractor became apparent David personally took charge of the project, bringing in his own people as needed. David re-planned the remaining work in order that we could move in on time and he finished the loft conversion once we were there but he always honoured the fixed price and the agreed move-in date. Don't be naive and assume you will have no problems on your build: find someone who has the skills and experience manage them; who will provide you with the right quality, on the right time-frame and who will always honour his commitment to you.

I wish the World was full of people like David. Charming, creative, efficient and more to the point brilliant. He transformed my soulless lifeless terrace into an amazing seating area, and he was also incredibly cheap. Five star, 10/10 whatever rating system you use, he is top notch
