Patio job We'd like the old sleepers removed and a new brick patio laid including 2 steps up to the kitchen doors. We'd like to use Matthews Brick makers at Bellingdon (or similar if you have a supplier) with hardcore and bedding mortar base. Damp course to be extended above steps. There are also some sleepers on the path by the side of the house that we'd like replace with bricks. We are actively looking to hire someone but not in a particular hurry.
Steve listened to our requirements and made some usefully suggestions. He paid attention to detail and worked very precisely and tidily. He overcame some problems with bricking over a manhole cover while leaving it accessible. He did some additional work using his own initiative to make sure the job looked good when it was finished. I think Steve charges a fair price and does a exceptionally good job. He is quite a laid back person and it was a pleasure to employ him.
