We found A F Robertson through the My Builder website, the excellent reviews from previous clients were very helpful, we have since found them to be honest and accurate, and in line with our recent experience of having Alex and his team build our extension. There is little more to add, only to say we would recommend this company to others and will contact Alex again for any other projects we may have in the future.

Alex and his team did a great job building our side extension. They created a bigger lighter kitchen which I love and a shower room. Alex was easy to talk to about the job and kept us informed all the way through. The extension has made a huge difference to us and I’m really grateful for Alex who helped us with the design and helped us find a structural engineer. Alex and his team worked hard and we trusted them totally. Would definitely recommend him to anyone needing a builder.

We are very pleased with the finished result on all of the jobs Alex and his team have carried out for us. The work has been neatly carried out to a really high standard and at reasonable cost. We would certainly put them as our number one choice if ever we require further building work completed and certainly recommend them to others.

Working with Alex and his team has been brilliant. He is responsive to every query raised and confident in his answers allowing us to leave him with full reign to complete the task at hand. We have enjoyed working with them on this project and would call on them again for future projects.

I was absolutely dreading the whole project, and did not have a clue where to start with all the tradesmen that I would need. I found Alex throught his site, made contact, and he and Jon came round promptly and at a time to suit me to look at the job. Immediately that evening I knew there was a God after all, because Alex and Jon were so re-assuring, easy to get on with, and actually just two really nice chaps!! My comment that evening to them was 'you are nothing like a builder... and that's a good thing!!' Alex sent his quote within a few days, and it was to my mind both realistic and fair. I then handed them a set of keys, and so the whole project started. The great thing is Alex project manages it all, co-ordinates the various tradesmen; Jon did a great job too dealing with deliveries and thoroughly checking them off. You should never under-estimate just how much that sort of thing takes stress out of embarking on a big project like this. I can honestly say I have had NO PROBLEMS whatsoever crop up through the entire project; yes of course issues arise but Alex's communications and advice are both first class and freely given and the issues never became problems. The standard of workmanship and attention to detail is first class and I am incredibly pleased with how my house has turned out - Alex, Jon and his dedicated team should be rightly proud of what they have achieved. Huge huge thanks!!

We couldn't be happier with our kitchen extension - great finish inside and out. Alex and John were professional throughout the build keeping us updated at all times, were considerate to our neighbours when there were big deliveries etc and left the house very tidy each night which we really appreciated. They were on site everyday of the job and are such nice guys that at no point did it feel awkward having them in our house or asking them questions about the build. They managed to overcome some errors made by out arcitect and offered design suggestions when we asked for their opinion. Overall they made what we felt was a scary and complicated job run smoothly to plan, buget and timescale. We wouldn't hesitate to recomend them and will certainly be going to them first with any future jobs we may have. Emily, Simon (& Molly)

Alex and his team have done an amazing job and we are delighted with both the outcome and the way it was achieved. As with every job of this magnitude there were the inevitable hiccups along the way but Alex remained calm and professional at all times. He was totally reliable, always answering our calls and turning up whenever he said he would. All of the tradesmen he introduced to us were competent and pleasant. The whole team were a pleasure to have around. We would absolutely recommend Alex to anyone looking for a builder who gets the job done to a high standard in a professional manner and is very easy to work with.

We hired A F Robertson to paint our house and garage. We were very happy with not only the quick response, but their punctually and professionalism. We are very pleased with the painting work and would not hesitate to hire them again.

Job was completed to a good standard, and the tradesman was friendly and helpful. Would use again.
