Hi there,

I am looking to replace a set of old wooden french doors in a bedroom with new uPVC french doors. I have had a few quotes from all the usual companies but what they are quoting is completely out of my budget (from £1300 upwards!)

Firstly, is there a standard size to French doors? I was hoping that I may just be able to buy some standard size that I could then pay someone to fit for us. I have read that the standard suppliers (Wickes etc) are not very good quality. Is there anywhere else that they can be bought from? Or is it possible to hire someone to look at the current door - find a replacement and then fit it for me? I am looking to spend between £800 and £1000.
