I bought a new microchip catflap for my back door, but it doesn't work becasue the upvc panel has a layer of metal inside which interferes with the radio signals. I have investigated getting a new panel fitted but people either don't bother returning quotes or don't bother to come round and do the job when they said they would. Also I have bought the extender panel for the catflap to be used in such circumstances, but the current door panel has panelling making this impossible to fit. So I have decided to go the whole hog and get a completely new back door as the current is badly fitting and draughty in any case. So I need a new door, with no metal in the lower panel, or a fully glazed door, with the catflap, which I already have, fitted properly. Looking for a local to Brentwood tradesman rather than any of the big boys...
