We have a Victorian 3 bed terraced house in Abington, Northampton.
The previous owners half converted the cellar but did not put in a window - and before we complete the conversion we would like to put one in.

There is one air brick and several standard bricks leading out to the street from the cellar underneath the front bay window. We have noticed recently that the brickwork above the air brick is deteriorating and cracking which has led to a small amount of damp on the inside of the house underneath the bay window. We would like to replace this damaged brickwork and airbrick etc with a White PVC window of minimum dimensions 550mm wide & 250mm high. We would like a quick response if possible to avoid any further damage to the property being caused by the cracked brickwork.

Job 1 (definately going ahead):

Rough size of Window: 150x150cm (approx)

Need a new window fitting to replace the current double glazed PVC window (like for like replacement) in my bathroom. Current unit is leaky and regularly fills with water from the shower, as the rubber seals have failed around the glass.

Current window also looks poorly fitted; from the outside of the property, window does not look "straight" when viewed from the exterior.

Job 2 (maybe going ahead, dependent on costs):

Rough Size: 250cm x 150cm (approx)

In our master bedroom, have a large bay window (UPVC double glazed), where some of the individual units have lost their seals and have moisture inside them. We also have a mould problem in and around the bay window which we beleive is caused by the window being poorly sealed / fitted.
The job would be to replace/repair the bits of the window which are allowing the moisture to come in.
As specified above, we may just get an initial quote on this to understand rough costs and then go ahead at a later date following our Bathroom refurb.

correction - I also need to daught proof the front door not to replace it.

Job Description

To fix the draught you need to reset the hinge depths, re-plane the door, fill the gaps, and maybe even add a slither of wood to the top of the frame as it has been cut short on fitting.
