The rear facing 2nd & 3rd bedrooms have old aluminium framed windows which are no longer fitting tightly and could do with replacement. The front door also has been recommended by the surveyor to be replaced with a more secure and better fitting door. We would prefer a wooden door however a UPVC type with insulation sandwiched inside would be considered as long as it kept within the style that suits a London Victorian style house.

We will be looking for double glazed windows to be supplied and fitted from a FENSA certified installer. There is a window on the 2nd floor and a window on the 3rd floor. Both face outwards from the back of house and cannot be seen from the street. We are after the best value frame that suits the type of installation required.

The seal around the window in the door of my kitchen is broken. When we had the house renovated a lot of dust got inbetween the panes of glass and has made the window very cloudy. We'd like to either replace the glass or remove it, clean it and reseal it.

We are looking for someone to come in a quote us for restoration of our sash windows. Ideally we would want the work done in April.

Our property is 1890's build and the windows concerned are ground floor making access easy.

Additionally, depending on price -
1. We would quite like our front door redone which has so many layers of paint that it will need stripping back to wood before repainting.
2. Again dependent on price and whether or not the tradesmen who come to do the job have the extra skill set to work the plaster around the entrance way we would also like the front entrance are redone (some of the plaster is flaking and the paint is in poor condition so a nice newly painted door will look a bit odd in the setting)

Our priority is the woodwork so should the right tradesmen come along to do the woodwork but was not able to work on the plaster it would certainly not rule him/her out.

We are currently unable to open the window because my father tried to shut it by using excessive force and managed to bend one of the metal hinges that connect the window to the frame.

The window is on the first floor & can only be accessed from the exterior via a large ladder, which we do not own.

Of course the window can also be accessed from inside the property too! My initial post made it cound like it can't so just wanted to clear that up.
