Since I can't access the stone in question, I am unable to provide exact measurments. My guess would be width: 400mm, height: 150mm.

We have a large fireplace approx 1m x 1m currently housing our multifuel stove. The fireplace was plastered several years ago as the original stonework was in very bad condition. The plaster has cracked and is coming away from the walls due to heat from the stove and possible damp from behind the fireplace. We would like all the plaster inside the fireplace to be removed and replaced with stonework. The floor is stone flagged and there is no problem with this, it is simply the interior walls of the fireplace which need renovating.
