I am installing a new kitchen and already have slabs of polished granite that I need cutting to size and finishing at the edges. I have tried a few kitchen fitters but they don't seem to provide this service only provide the whole worktops cut to their specifications. Could you provide this service and if so could you provide a quote please for 3 worktops with a sink and a hob cut out.

I am based in Harpenden.

My house, built 1840, has a couple of steps up to the front door. These are made from some kind of masonry, liberally patched up with cement mortar over the decades. The top step is badly affected by frost damage. It seems to be of a different stone than the lower step which is still in good condition, and I suspect that it may an old repair with an inferior piece of stone.

I would really like the whole step re-built (possibly re-using the lower step) in a uniform stone material. If you think that saving the lower step is uneconomic, please say so.

The lower step width is 74", the upper one 51".
