My 1935, 3 bed semi detatched needs the roof replacing - it's currently the original roof still in place. I require; felt, battern and re-tile the roof, renew lead flashings around the chimney, paint the wooden facia boards and clear the gutters.
Not sure if scaffolding is required. The house is a typical 1930s property with a standard gable roof. I'd like tiles which are flat and retangular to match with the neighbouring property.

At the back of my 2 bed semi detached I have noticed there are approx 2 or 3 roof tiles missing (that i can see). After going into the loft to investigate further I have noted that with the recent rain it has damaged a few boxes of things I was storing up there so I need this addressing fairly urgently as there is a hole the size of 1 whole tile.

The property is on a hill, however the back of the propoerty has level ground that a ladder can be placed on, so I don't believe scaffolding would be needed.

I don't think it has caused damage to the loft floor or bedroom ceiling as my boxes took the brunt of the incoming rain.

i have now sheeted it over with tarpaulin, so we dont need a temp repair now , we just need quotes on making roof watertight / nornal again

the roof was laid maybe 1900's and these tiles match the roof tiles ? this roof was laid in the 1980's maybe ? we are unsure as we didnt live here then

Our managing agents have had someone look at the roof, who have reported it is in pretty bad condition, and a full repair is required.They have indicated the job requires:
To strip of existing felt roof and water damaged decking.
Replace decking with smart ply boards (6 boards)
Felt roof using high performance polyester felt with green mineral cap sheet
and flashings.
Clear away site.

I have a 11 year old slate roofed 3 bed house in Gamston. Front of house needs re-pointing between the brickwork and roof . Some re-pointing to rear needed and the odd slate tile needs replacing. Also some minor re-pointing where recent ground-floor extension adjoins main house. There is also some slight damp in the front bedroom which I think is related to re-pointing/flashing needing attention at corner exterior where roof meets brickwork.

This is a small job and will not require scaffolding.
