The property is a 1911 semi with original cast iron guttering.It only needs replacing on two sides of each property, the front having no guttering.My neighbour may also choose to have the gutters replaced.
I have read that it may be best to have new cast iron guttering rather than plastic, but this needs to be discussed. In any event, I do not think extruded plastic will do. This also needs to be discussed.
The total length of guttering is approximately 19 metres and there is a garage and kitchen extension adjoining the side and rear walls.

Hi,
I have become aware of a problem with my roof over the past week. I have noticed that birds have been congregating on the corner of my house's roof. I keep making a noise to distract them and they do go away but they keep returning. On inspection from ground level there appears to be a gap underneath the bottom/end roof tile just above the guttering on the corner of my house. I can only presume the birds are trying to get in (perhaps with the intention of nesting in my loft area?) as I have noticed little bits of loft insulation blowing around my garden when I return home from work the last 2 nights.
I've had a look in the loft and it doesn't look like the birds have been in there, from the ground the gap doesn't really seem big enough but they are obviously getting at the insulation somehow so I am quite concerned.

There is also some damp on one of the walls which needs looking at.after this is done the loft needs to be made good as some of the wood may need replacing.
