I am in the process of trying to purchase a property in Drakes Broughton. Approximate build year 1980.

The Homebuyer’s Survey has come back suggesting that I obtain quotes for certain works.

Would you be interested in quoting for the below as soon as possible?

Repair of rainwater fittings.

There may be wet rot behind the guttering.

Some internal doors need adjustment.

The feed and expansion tank in the roof (in relation to the heating system) is not adequately supported.

The wood burning stove will need inspecting for safety (but I am assuming that I will need a specialist contractor for this?)

Reinstate chimney (above roof section so scaffolding required), check/rebed ridge & hip tiles on main roof, open up fire places in lounge and dining rooms to fit a multi-fuel double door burner that will be visible from both rooms, close off 2 doorways and open up another doorway, install a breakfast bar, replaster dining room wall, fit door to conservatory, replace ceiling plaster and generally make good the downstairs toilet plus fit toilet, sink, electric handwash and storage heater to the room, fit radiator to dining room, remove excess sockets from dining room, fix electrical socket in bedroom, put external electricity cable into wall cavity, repair/replace clay tiles on toilet roof, fix/replace kitchen guttering, replace blown bricks above damp course and steps, replace broken glass in uPVC window in conservatory, fix guttering and add down pipe to conservatory , fix flashing and seal soil pipe. I will source & supply multi-fuel burner, breakfast bar, toilet, sink, electric handwash and storage heater - quote will need to include all other parts and labour.

We have just moved into an old house in Clifton (between Kempsey and Severn Stoke) and have a few jobs that we would like to have looked at if possible please: 1. We have one wall that leaks significantly in heavy rain, suspect it needs repointing and possibly waterproofing. 2. We have 1 other wall that leaks possibly because neighbouring field is above ground level or maybe a gutter/drainage issue. 3. There is a damp patch in a bedroom wall, this may be dry now but need to make sure no significant damage has occurred and will not reoccur. 4. We have a chimney that needs capping. 5 We need a cat flap put into a brick wall
I do not necessarily expect a quote at this stage but maybe just a chat as to whether these are the sort of things you can do, when you could do them etc

From what we can see this will involve some level of flooring (currently dirt) and making good the walls. There is a slight overhang outside which we would like tidying up to enable us to use it as a weathertight log store
