repair low dividing brick wall
- Location: Hitchin
- Hired: peter dolling property maintenance
- Trade: Restoration & Refurbishment
- Positive feedback on 31st Mar 11
Job Description
Put coping stone or similar onto old brick wall between properties, to tidy it up and prevent further deterioration.
The wall is 29 feet (approx 9 metres) long, and one brick (8.5 inches or 22 cm) wide.
Also, I thought it might look good if the crumbly side of the brickwork could be rendered to disguise the tatty brickwork.

Remove paint from exterior of brick house
- Location: Harpenden
- Hired: Property Restoration Services
- Trade: Restoration & Refurbishment
- Positive feedback on 1st Sep 10
Job Description
The front of my house was painted by a previous owner and I would like this paint to be removed and the original brickwork restored.
Before giving up and having it re-painted, I'd appreciate any skilled tradesmen WITH PROVEN PRIOR EXPERIENCE OF EXTERIOR PAINT REMOVAL FROM BRICKWORK to quote me for stripping the paint and cleaning the brickwork. I will be looking for any tradesperson to visit and quote so whilst indicative quotes submitted online would be useful, I appreciate that a full site visit will be necessary before a price can be agreed. Please be prepared to show photographs and/ or examples and references for prior work of this type as I'm reluctant to risk major abuse to the front of my property to anyone that I cannot be completely confident in. Apologies to anyone this excludes.
It is only the front elevation of the house which is painted, so hopefully you can get an approximate idea of the area.
We'd also need the brickwork re-pointed etc to most of the house after the work is complete, but we can work that out after.
