We have recently moved into a new house (5 years old). There are two showers, both of the same style, and we can't adjust the temperature on either of them. We think the previous owner has some how jammed them to their preferred temperature. The only way to adjust the temperature is to turn the hot water up/down on the bolier!

We currently have water pipes going up the kitchen wall, through our bedroom, down into the boiler (in the kitchen) and back up to the bathroom.

We would like to add a new pipe to run along the kitchen wall, through the boiler and up into the bathroom (so that we can remove the piping in the bedroom). However, the supply pipe is lead, so we need a plumber who is confident to 'lead-lock'(?) the supply pipe and attach a new plastic (or copper?) pipe.

N.B. We are aware that Yorkshire Water will replace their part of the lead piping up to the house boundary if we replace our part, however, the boundary is at the pavement at the front of the house down the road a little, and our supply comes in at the back, so it would need a lot of digging to replace the whole supply pipe, which we think would be too costly. This is why we want someone who will connect to the existing pipe.
