We were on holiday last August for a week and came back to a water leak from the toilet and a damaged bathroom floor. The plumber who came charged us a fortune to tighten a nut. He said the problem was caused by a drip within the cistern which, over the week, caused it to overflow into the pipe which had the loose nut. We want to go on holiday this year without the fear of coming back to a flooded bathroom.

We need to replace or repair the main property stop cock located in the kitchen which is constantly dripping. It is an old tap with what looks like a lead pipe connection to it from the main household supply. This comes from underground and a concrete floor. We would like to get this done ASAP.

As above the gas powered shower is not getting hot enough, we have to leave it on near enough a drizzle for it to be warm any stronger and it goes cold. The boiler, radiators are fine and there is enough pressure in the boiler so i'm unsure what the issue is.
