Loo with weak flush
- Location: Holloway
- Hired: Plumber
- Trade: Plumbing
- Positive feedback on 19th May 13
Job Description
Hi we've just moved in to a property and we're finding that the loo's taking 2-4 flushes to take all the contents down.
We've tipped a full bucket in and it doesn't overflow or have water come near the top.
What we have noticed though is that the bowl's always got roughly the same level of water during the flush, so there's no suction occurring as on most loos.
Looking for:
A quote to get it fixed, so one flush will do!

Shower / Bath mixer
- Location: Greenwich
- Hired: plumber
- Trade: Plumbing
- Positive feedback on 19th May 13
Job Description
We have a reasonably old bath / shower mixer. The hot water does not run very fast anymore and the taps need to be turned off tighter and tighter to stop dripping.
Would it be best to replace the whole unit or could it be that the existing fitting simply requires some work?
* Added 5th May, 2013 :
If you feel the unit needs to be replaced, then we would also look to have the taps for the sink replaced as well.
Also, our toilet needs to be flushed two or three times for it to be fully cleared. It's nothing to do with the settings inside the tank. The float ball is set as high as it can go. Would you have a suggestion as to what the problem might be? Also, we need the cistern lever to be replaced.

Leaky Tap
- Location: Fulham
- Hired: 21st century building and maintenance ltd
- Trade: Plumbing
- Positive feedback on 14th May 13
Job Description
I have a leaky tap that leaks whenever we turn on the cold water. I presume the tap needs replacing but do not know whihc one to replace it with in terms of size. I'd be happy to order a tap as required and would be keen if someone can replace it. I also have a garden tap indoors which leaks like crazy when switched on so could be a two tap job.
If anyone is keen to help and reasonably priced then please get in touch. Perhaps a quote just for the fitting and a quote for the fitting and providing a similar tap.
Thanks,
Michael
