Water is seems to be dripping from the ceiling above the upstairs toilet. Toilet is not overflowing and neither there is any problem from the taps.

An upstairs shower has developed a leak with water coming the through the ceiling into the area below. I’m unsure if this is because of the waste system in the shower or from the seal around the base of the shower where the tray meets the tiling, although I suspect it is from the waste system.

Your mission, if you choose to accept it ( sorry, couldn’t help myself), is to find out where the leak is coming from and hopefully provide a remedy.

I believe the waste system of the shower (if that is the cause) can accessed by the removal of a 2.5' X 3' piece of plasterboard below the shower area

I have a washing machine already plumbed in but need to swap this for a new one - same standard size of machine and presumably fittings are pretty much the same but I'm not sure how to do it and I want to make sure its all connected up properly. Also my kitchen mixer tap may need a new washer (?) as the hot water drips unless turned off really tightly.

When flushing our toilet, water can often be seen dribbling down the back of the bowl. We then can hear the cistern refilling every now and then (phantom flushing). It doesn't do this all the time, but needs fixing as I think it is getting worse. We have a water meter and obviously don't want to be wasting water. I believe it is an Impulse toilet with a Wisa dual flush valve. This is our only toilet so I would like it fixed quickly with minimal disruption/mess ASAP. Thanks.

We already have a pump in place behind the bath panel which started making funny noises and has now died completely. We have had nothing but problems with the pump since it has been fitted especially with what seems like airlocks in the hot and cold supply to the bath so I am looking for a new pump (4 way i believe, 2 in and 2 out) to replace the current one and fitting. I have recently bought a ground-floor flat in Risca, and although I am very happy with it, it came with a strange smell in the bathroom I have so far been unable to identify. I can't really compare the smell to anything I know... it's kind of sickly sweet, and not constant - it gets better on some days and worse on others.
