Shower / Bath mixer
- Location: Greenwich
- Hired: plumber
- Trade: Plumbing
- Positive feedback on 19th May 13
Job Description
We have a reasonably old bath / shower mixer. The hot water does not run very fast anymore and the taps need to be turned off tighter and tighter to stop dripping.
Would it be best to replace the whole unit or could it be that the existing fitting simply requires some work?
* Added 5th May, 2013 :
If you feel the unit needs to be replaced, then we would also look to have the taps for the sink replaced as well.
Also, our toilet needs to be flushed two or three times for it to be fully cleared. It's nothing to do with the settings inside the tank. The float ball is set as high as it can go. Would you have a suggestion as to what the problem might be? Also, we need the cistern lever to be replaced.

Leaky Tap
- Location: Fulham
- Hired: 21st century building and maintenance ltd
- Trade: Plumbing
- Positive feedback on 14th May 13
Job Description
I have a leaky tap that leaks whenever we turn on the cold water. I presume the tap needs replacing but do not know whihc one to replace it with in terms of size. I'd be happy to order a tap as required and would be keen if someone can replace it. I also have a garden tap indoors which leaks like crazy when switched on so could be a two tap job.
If anyone is keen to help and reasonably priced then please get in touch. Perhaps a quote just for the fitting and a quote for the fitting and providing a similar tap.
Thanks,
Michael

Job Description
In our bathroom two leaks need to be fixed.
The first leak is coming from a pipe coming from the wall presumably feeding water to the toilet cistern.
The second leak is coming from the water pump area. Not sure whether the leak is directly from the pump, or a pipe.
Pretty sure no electrics are involved.
Leak Detection
- Location: Croydon
- Hired: LKM SERVICES LTD
- Trade: Plumbing
- Positive feedback on 11th May 13
Job Description
Hi
A competent and able plumber required to find and remedy a small leak in an end of terrace property. The leakage is in the utility area of the house. Every morning, my tenant comes down to find small pools of water on the floor. Initial thoughts were, of course, the washing machine but it has now been removed and the water is still there!
Two plumbers have been to the property and have not found the leak.
If anyone can help me/my tenant, I'd be grateful if they'd get in touch asap.
Thanks for looking.
Jessica
