Hope you can help....have tried the obvious and now stuck.

The garden tap has been left uncovered during the winter and guessing it has iced up and done some damage. The water just dribbles out. Thought it might be the valve in the tap so replaced the tap but has made no difference.

Guessing the damage has been done further along but unsure where.

My power shower has died. I need a new one fitted.

The water feed to my Loo cistern is leaking at the point where the cold water pipe connects to the plastic threaded connection protruding from the underside of the cistern. Tried a replacement washer but that does not seem to have worked. Suspect that the plastic is damaged, worn or cracked. Cistern is currently isolated using the valve in the pipe below the connection. Have been advised that this type of connection (metal pipe to plastic thread) is notoriously unreliable and that there are alternate methods these days that are less prone to these kinds of problems.
