We've got a Kitchen, small dining room, downstairs loo, and medium sized bedroom that need redecorating. Some walls need plastering repairs (picture rails and skirting boards have been removed, new electrical points fitted, etc), and most need wallpaper stripped.

To paint living room, stairs leading out of the living room and landing (including full height stairwell).

The living room is approx 12ft x 18ft. There is one large window with UPVC frame and wooden windowsill and 2 doors (1 already painted and 1 glass panelled that needs to be painted). The stairs lead straight out of the living room and have a wooden handrail and wooden slatted 'divider' on non-wall side and a wooden door to small under stairs cupboard (all to be painted). Walls currently painted pale yellow and cream and need minimum prep work. Ceiling not to be painted. 1 radiator to be painted.

Stair well is about 14ft high and 9ft wide

Landing is 8ft x 4ft and 7.5ft high with 3 doors coming off it (none need painting). Ceiling and loft hatch to be painted

All skirting to be painted. Woodwork in reasonable condition. All walls to be painted. We will supply paint (unless tradesman can get it cheaper!)

Currently looking for quotes to decide if can afford to get it painted by someone else or if need to do it ourselves.

My bathroom ceiling is pannelled in MDF with 3 spot lights - done as part of a total re-vamp by a professional kitchens and bathroom company. But approximately 12 years down the line now - its gone a rather off white colour, and needs re-painting if possible to freshen things up.

I am a home owner. I can either supply the materials or you supply them ... I don't mind which - as long as their good quality of course.

My Bathroom is 8'7" in length and 8'5" wide.

My aim is just to repaint it - but any advice would be welcome.

I need the present wallpaper removing from the stairs and landing, and new wallpaper put up. I've chosen the wallpaper but I'm not sure how much I'd need or if I need to get lining. The woodwork also needs painting (which is mainly skirting boards - there is no bannister as the stairs go up between internal walls).
I've booked for new carpet to be laid on 21 February although that could be delayed if necessary.
