I am looking for quotes to have my attic renovated. I live in a mid-terrace house in Gosforth and have a large attic that currently consists of naked joists and a tonne of insulation. It is a bit of a nightmare to get up and in to and is pretty useless for the purposes of storing boxes. Many of the houses in the street have loft conversions, just to give you an idea of the size, but I am really looking for something a bit simpler. The main priorities are as follows: 1) boarding out of the loft 2) appropriate lighting 3) retaining of as much insulation as possible and 4) simple and safe access. I would like the work done any time in the next couple of months if possible.

I require my loft to be boarded out with 18mm chipboard and the eves to be covered with plaster board as well as partitioning the loft into two halves leaving one half for storage .Storage area 20foot X 10 foot approx there is already access and a light in situ but would like access enlarged to take a wooden loft ladder with wooden surround.We dont need the plasterboard skimming and are happy for tape between the plasterboard if reqd to keep the area as dust tight as possible.There is mimimum insulation in the loft floor gaps which we wish to retain as now and just chipboard over.
