1930's House in Sidcup which is Mid Terrace.
Due to expanding family I need to convert the loft to living space.
This job will include the following.
Supply Loft Ladder (Drop down type on to Landing) or permanent stair case over the existing stairs and create a new hatch.
Move the wood that supports the Purlin.
Create the structure insulated and plastered within the loft.
Fit a Velux Window.
I can supply pictures and to view the job before hand is fine , I would like to see references and builders insurance details.
No Plans will need doing for this job.
The budget I have for this is 6-7 K so will be happy to work with the builder and listen to his ideas if this reduces the cost.

We have now submitted plans to the local Building Control for our loft conversion of our 3 bedroom end of terrace house from 1920s. Now we are seeking quotations. The completion date in no later than mid-May. References and certification will need to be presented at/ or before contract will be able to proceed.

Our loft is within a 'London' roof, its quite long (9m), but only about 1 metre high at its tallest.
We would like to make the area a clean easily accessible dustproof storage space. At present part of the loft is fully boarded, some is partially boarded, the eves have no boarding at all (the insulation is exposed). The biggest problem we have with the loft is the amount of dust up there .

We have an eaves cupboard in our 1930's detached house that is on the 1st floor, so a staircase is not needed - we wish to put a cottage style dormer on and have it insulated and a breather membrane inplace so we can convert to a bathroom. We also need 2 chimney breasts and the pots removed but would like to keep the ground floor chimney breasts in place with the ceilings made good. The chimney breasts are very shallow.

Not strictly speaking a loft conversion, but this seems like the closest heading. We've just moved into a new flat and need a loft ladder installed, preferably before the end of the month. We have not yet been able to get into the loft to look around (on account of not having a ladder) so are not sure of the precise dimensions (e.g. clearance space). There is a hatch in place already. If possible it would be good to have quotes including and excluding the cost of the ladder itself.
