Lay patio, turf and replace fence
- Location: Leeds
- Hired: KNS Property Maintenance
- Trade: Landscape Gardening
- Positive feedback on 29th Apr 13
Job Description
Hi, my garden is around 12m x 6m. It has a badly laid patio which I want moving from the back half of the garden to the front ( I assume the flags can be reused), most of the remainder of the garden to be turfed with some sort of border at the back of the garden. The side fence is also in a pretty poor state and could do with being replaced or repaired.
Some landscaping ideas would be appreciated since I'm not really that good at visualizing gardening things, but not after anything fancy.
If possible I would like to see some previous work as I've had landscaping done at my last house and got a terrible job (patio laid over manhole, turf going brown after a week etc.)
The garden is in good condition but will need some clearing to get rid of old turf, soil and chippings. Access will be through a garage which has electric socket and outside tap. There is a step between the garage door and the garden but a ramp should take care of that.

New Garden Design
- Location: Wakefield
- Hired: Yorkshire roofguard
- Trade: Landscape Gardening
- Negative feedback on 20th Oct 12
Job Description
Looking for an entirely new garden for the summer, the idea being it is low maintenance/maintenance free, little to no grass/plants, and possibly a design from stone slabs and/or gravel. Not fixed on a specific design so any ideas would be welcome.
It's a terraced house so the 'front' garden is approx 2m x 1m and would simply require some stone slabs/gravel
The back garden where the majority of work is required is approx 8m x 5m, some of it is stone slabs with the rest grass/plants.
Ill try to post some pictures to give an idea of the size as my measurements are purely perception
Any questions do get in touch,
Thank You

1. A small fibreglass pond putting in - it measures: 5ft long x 3.5ft wide x1.5 ft deep. I have bags of sand to bed it in with. The square which it sits in needs weed liner putting in and gravel on top. It measures 12.5ft x 10ft. It has already been dug out, but just wants raking and a few weeds removing - see pics
2. I need a square of lawn measuring 11ft x 12ft - preparing so that weed liner can be laid and gravel put on top - it is opposite the square with the pond in and would be identical (minus the pond).
3. There is a veg patch measuring 12ft x 9ft which is made from railway sleepers that are very basically screwed together( see pics). I need this removing, the soil within it removing, and in it's place a decking square measuring 12ft x 9ft creating. I have the decking squares that need laying, but you shall have to supply or pick up the joists. You can use the railway sleepers as joists if you think they would be sufficient. I NEED QUOTING ASAP - so get in touch with me Kath on here, many thanks!

Re-lay 10x15ft patio
- Location: Leeds
- Hired: S.T.Kelliher Groundworks
- Trade: Landscape Gardening
- Positive feedback on 3rd Feb 12
Job Description
As you can see from the attached pictures, our front patio is a bit of a death trap!
I'm not really sure on the condition of the hard core base and I doubt that there's a sub-base of any sort as the slabs have moved that much.
We're looking for someone to come out and level the patio so need a quote for labour and any foundation materials or machinery that may be required. Obviously the slabs are already there and there may be some hard core which could be used. The patio is roughly 10x15ft.
steps/ staircase - approx 7 foot high

- Hired: Birkenshaw Windows

Job Description
i am looking for a new set of steps/ stairs to give access to a garden area at the back of my garage. The piece of garden is approx 7 foot higher than 'ground level' and has previously been accessed by a steep wooden staircase but this is now unsafe and impractical.
there is currently a carport/ storage area to the side of the garage in which the stepswould be sited.
looking for a safe but cost effective way of creating access to this area.
thanks
