Hi we need to replace our old patio , it is currently a mix of concrete slabs and gravel. Ideally we would like block paving but we are open to other suggestions. The house is an old Victorian place and we would like something in keeping with the property. The patio is "L" shaped and is 9mtrs by 6mtrs at its extreme. It will need a gentle slope and will meet the lawn using two full width steps.

Tall privett hedge (10-15 feet) needs levelling on top and thinning out at sides. Hedge runs down one side of garden (approx. 30 feet). Also possible thinning out and topping of very tall laurel on the other side of garden (but I need to speak to the neighbours first). Ideally waste should be removed. A quote for both one side and two sides of garden required.

To replace a failed garden retaining wall 1.5m high x 6.7m long.
Failed wall was clearly built to inadequate spec so suitable replacement may need new foundations with some excavation of retained (clay) soil & backfilling - this will involve manual digging as restricted access is too tight for even a mini/compact excavator.
Wall type - blocks, brick, etc. - open to recommendation.
Contractor to supply all required materials and site to be left clean & tidy with all rubble etc removed.
Contractor must have previous experience of constructing retaining walls of this size.

An architect has now looked at job & suggested that old wall be left in situ & new zig-zag retaining wall with planters be built in front of it as indicated in photos. Gap between old & new to be suitably backfilled.

Garden of a 3 bed house, we have done decking, now need small wall taken down, then lawn needs putting upto the decking so lots of digging and adding soil etc, idas and putting into place an easy to look after garden
