garden make over

  • Location: Hornchurch
  • Hired: Design and Build
  • Trade: Landscape Gardening
Job Description

Part of garden needing attention is 20ft by 35ft...remaining garden is patio, which will remain. Garden was mainly covered in loose stone, once we removed stone we have discovered it has been laid over a concrete base, apart form two round flower beds.
We have recently removed stone.

We want to achieve a family garden suitable for young children and to fulfil my desire to have some plants.Two young boys means they would like somewhere to kick a football around.

We want somebody to create some beds and install a path or stepping stones. The remainder to be lawned...perhaps with artificial grass, as we think that might be labour saving.
I have some photos that I can email to any interested parties.

Rear Garden Tidy Up & clearance for childrens play area

  • Location: Croydon
  • Hired: Stephen French Garden Services
  • Trade: Landscape Gardening
Job Description

There are 2 parts to the job required.
1) The rear of back garden needs all plantation removed (not to be disposed of) there are some slabs that need moving in preparation for a Wendy house.
Once this is done we then need to look at the space and decided what to do with the actual ground as part will be grass and part soil from the old boarders. it will purely be used as a toddler play area so needs to be safe and also i do not want to use bark due to cats in the area. Suggestions welcome.

2) The main part of the garden currently has a small pond which needs to be either removed or filled, we then wish to have this area stoned a swing seat will eventually be put there. The rest of the garden needs a general tidy up
I would like the work to be started asap although the weather not good at the moment i don't want to wait until spring/summer

* Added 12th April, 2013 :
A concrete base needs to be prepared for under the wendyhouse which is 7ft wide by 8ft deep.

Paving patio in rear garden

  • Location: Lewisham
  • Hired: zeus27
  • Trade: Landscape Gardening
Job Description

The job is preparing the base and laying brick paving to patio in rear or mid terrace house, the size is approximately 3 x 3.5 m. The bricks to be used are old house bricks that we already have in the garden; it will look quite rustic/cottage.

The preparation required is to remove 1 x 3m concrete path at rear of house, excavate area (10-20cm), and lay base required for paving.

There is no rear access to our property, but a clear path through the inside of the house on floor boards that will need protecting.

We are owner/occupiers of this house.

* Added 12th March, 2013 :
We have since been advised that using house bricks to pave a patio is not a good idea; they are not strong enough. We are now looking at the option of decking this area instead so please get in touch if you're a carpenter.
