Design, supply and fit a small galley kitchen
- Location: Reading
- Hired: woodchip carpentry
- Trade: Kitchen Fitting
- Positive feedback on 11th Mar 13
Job Description
I'm looking for someone to put together a design for my kitchen and Cary out the work. It's a typical Victorian terrace with a galley kitchen. Before the fitting job starts I will be removing all the old units and will be getting a damp specialist in to solve damp issues and replaster. I will need someone who is able to commit to a date to commence the work immediately after the damp company finish. I see the job starting with tiling he floor (I already have the tiles) and the moving onto the units. There is nothing out of the ordinary about the kitchen that I require although the job will involve boxing in a boiler and some pipe work and some minor reorganisation or plumbing and electrics. I'm not moving any gas or cooker electric points just making sure that the dishwasher and washing machine get hot and cold water plus moving Worksop sockets to fit the new layout. Under unit lights are also required. I'm looking for all appliances to be built in and for the job to start middle to end of February although dates can be flexible if its the right thing for me to do.

Fit (mostly second hand) kitchen in Caversham
- Location: Reading
- Hired: Housesave
- Trade: Kitchen Fitting
- Positive feedback on 27th Oct 12
Job Description
We have bought some second hand kitchen units, which are old but serviceable, and we are hoping we can turn them into a smart, traditional style kitchen. These will be supplemented with a couple of new units, including a belfast sink.
We are looking to have an oak worktop fitted, and will need cornicing/side panels etc that we can paint along with the doors to achieve a matching finish.
As the units we have bought were from a different sized kitchen, there will need to be some resizing / creative joinery to make them fit.
We are hoping to have the work finished by the end of September so please only respond if you can quote next week and are available in the weeks after that.
Many thanks,
Bill & Amanda

Worktop fitted, Gas hob connected
- Location: Reading
- Hired: IBIP Home Ltd
- Trade: Kitchen Fitting
- Positive feedback on 9th May 11
Job Description
I need the worktop cut and fitted to the units - 2 joins needed to make U shape run. I need holes measured and cut for the new sink and the gas hob. Worktop is 2 x 3m pieces, room is 3320mm wide.
The hob needs connecting to the gas point which is at skirting board level, so some new pipework required.
Cupboards aren't levelled or attached to wall as I figured they'd need to come out to do gas pipe.
Probably need to cut into door frame a little to fit the right hand side cupboard/worktop.
Picture link below. On left hand side, worktop needs to continue over dishwasher to meet wall. On right hand side (where I'm standing to take pic) it will come right up to the door, hence frame might need a bit taken out to accomodate.
