we have 2 ground floor rooms and entrance hallway. flooring is suspended timber floor, we need to make airtight and fit the insulation between the joists to achieve regulation u- values of .22 or better. the flooring is more or less clear now so it would be the ideal time to do it. My mother's loft was insulated but I am concerned about the water pipes.

One side of my roof needs to be insulated. The other side is insulated and so is the floor along with cavity wall insulation throughout the property. The loft is cold as a result of only being partly insulated. Quote should include materials to complete the job.

A team of British Gas came to fit loft insulation but they figured out it's not possible: there's an old insulation (70s) fitted attached to the sloping roof joists, with no air circulation. We should remove it ASAP since it's likely damaging the joists.
