I have been asked by a British gas engineer to increase the air flow into my house has due to there being insufficient air flowing into the living room for my back boiler to be safe.

So what I am asking is for someone to supply and fit a core ventilator.

The ventilator would be going through an outside wall to my living room.

It was suggested that something similar to the following without the anti-draught baffle would be fine

It does not have to be one of these but I was told that whatever i fitted must be lined to stop the air being pulled into the brick cavity and must have a clear flow area of at least 100cm squared.

The only other restriction is that I need to get the job done in the next 2 days so that I can get a Gas engineer out again to retest and enable my heating again. So maybe its a job you could do quickly in an hour or so one evening.

Someone else quoted me £70 to supply and fit one but could not come till late next week which is too close to xmas for me.

I think the title makes the job sound more complicated than it really is:

Basically I am asking for someone to drill a large hole in the wall, push a plastic tube in the hole and then screw on two end louver covers.

I need it done urgently so that I can get the Gas engineer out to re-instate my heating (with any luck) so that I have heating over xmas (Yes I am playing for sympathy and xmas spirit :) ) .
