Drainage for raised patio

  • Location: Upminster
  • Hired: MP Fencing
  • Trade: Groundwork & Foundations
Job Description

Area is about 4.5 x 4 metres and height is about 0.35 metre. The facia wall of the patio
has been rendered 4 times. It lasts about 18-24 months and then starts to break off bringing part of the patio with it, to the extent that in parts the crazy paving at the edge of the patio is not supported, to the depth of 0.2 metre in some places. A surveyor has looked at it and advised the solution is to cut back the paving around the edge and introduce some drainage, via pipes/soakaway. Then re-lay the displaced paving and treat the facing edge, then re-render the wall of the patio.
