I need a gas hob connecting to the gas supply, There is a supply pipe next to the hob where a free standing cooker was previously connected using a rubber flexi pipe, I was going to attach the hob using this but the manual says it must be connected with rigid pipe (copper or stainless steel). I am having a Kitchen fitted next weekend (Starting 16/02/2013) I will be at home all day on the 15/02/2013 when the units are delivered.
The Hob is a slim worktop mounted AEG HG654440SM four burner hob
There is currently a Gas cooker in the kitchen, The new hob will be installed in a different place, I also need the supply pipe which comes down the wall from the ceiling re-routed so it goes behind a tower unit and therefore not in open view.
The hob intructions say an isolating valve is required. I'm thinking the work would be best done in two stages
1. re-route supply pipe, install valve, temporary capped off
(then worktop is fixed in place with cutout for hob)
2.Connect test and certify hob installation
