We have a an old boiler (over 20 years old) - Concord WRS Gas Boiler (water tank upstairs). Gas engineer from National Grid came to investigate and have explained the boiler is sooty and there is a gas leak on outlet supply and/or appliance. The gas supply has been cut off and boiler declared immediately dangerous.
Was advised a new boiler will most likely be required / maybe the system needs to be replaced.

Hi, I'm a landlord, with a house in Walthamstow. My annual Gas Safety Record expires on 21 March and I need a qualified engineer to come out and check the gas appliances in the house and give me a newone. I think it's just the boiler and the gas hob, (there was an old gas fireplace but its been capped off). The only other thing is the boiler has low pressure at the moment and is apparently making strange noises. I've been told this means there is a leak somewhere and I need this sorted too. If you are qualified to do both things?

Ive heard this is quite an easy thing to fix, but If you could let me know if you can do both jobs and how much the safety certificate would cost that would be fab.

Ideally this would be done tomorrow, Friday or over the weekend when my tenant is home, or I can come up and do it on Wednesday afternoon.

On my upstairs landing, there was an old 1970s gas fire. This was disconnected by the previous owner, when central heating was fitted. We have removed the fire from the wall, and discovered that there is an old thin copper pipe (which has been capped off above the floorboards).

As we have a toddler running around, we don't want him pulling on the pipe and rupturing it (I believe it is still live). As the floorboards are currently up for some rewiring work, I want to get the pipe cut off and re-capped below the floorboards.

I am home on Wednesday the 30th of January, if anyone is available to do this work (I wouldn't think this will take more than a few minutes to do).
