We want to do few things to the floors in our house:
1) get rid of the carpet in all rooms, except 2 bedroom: 38.42 square meters + stairs (28 steps)
2) install laminate in the living room + 2 landings + entrance: 38.42 square meters
3) expose wood stairs (28 steps + 4 intermediate landings)
4) lay vinyl in a small kitchen attached to living room

We have already bought the materials:
- Laminate from Wickes (38.42 square meters + 10%)
- Underlay Boards
- Scotia (51 meters)
- 5 T-Bars for the transitions
- Pipe surrounds

The starting date for the job is indicative: we can discuss if it needs a bit of extra time to start. We will have to free space in the living room to get started.

Extra info about "3) expose wood stairs".
The stairs in our place are covered with carpet: we want to remove that and expose the original wood they are made of.
That will also require sanding and varnishing the stairs.
This is only for the actual steps: the handrails are painted and should stay as they are.

We have a large wardrobe that needs moving out of the way into the landing and we believe that the wood floor boards beneath, although are mainly sound, may need some repair.
We would like to get these repaired where necessary and then sanded and varnished.

We would like to laminate two rooms. The smaller one has approx. 6m² (2.5m x 2.3m), the larger room has approx. 17m² and a corner (see pictures). Additionally, we would like to put laminate into the walk-in cupboards (at most 4m²). The rooms currently have carpet which we will remove, but the underlay of the carpet may be reusable (see picture; please advise).
We would provide the click laminate, end claps and if necessary underlay from Homebase (unless there is a good reason not to). The job would need to be done by Friday (ideally on Wednesday or Thursday) - sorry we are in a hurry.

We need the subfloor of our 1st floor flat to be looked at and levelled in places. There are 3 rooms that need attention - lounge 4 x 3, kitchen 2.5 x 2.5 and a medium sized t shaped hall/landing. We have laminate flooring which we will fit ourselves but we know there are one or two areas where the subfloor dips and we need someone in the know to prepare this for us. The subfloor is hardboard and we will be using fibreboard sheets for the underlay. We are keen to avoid the need for plywood to be fitted throughout, not just to keep the cost down but also because this would all raise our flooring level by a significant amount.

We need the work completing asap so if you are available this week we'd like to hear from you.

We want to replace the carpet in our hallway and kitchen with laminate (which we have already bought to match other laminate elsewhere in the property). The hallway is a fairly standard Victorian 'S' shape (approx 8.5m2) and the kitchen is pretty much square (approx 6m2). We don't want to remove the skirting so would be looking to have scotia put around as well. We will supply this too, along with the underlay. We are also happy to take up the old carpet, underlay and grippers so that it will be ready to go.
