Laying Laminate Flooring 3.40m x 3.30m
- Location: Lichfield
- Hired: N England Joinery
- Trade: Flooring
- Positive feedback on 3rd Apr 13
Job Description
I Want Laminate flooring layed in one room which is 3 metres 40 by 3 metres 30 as the existing flooring has become loose and some of it has bowed after a good few years. I have all materials, flooring, beading & underlay and some cork expansion strips if needed and want a tradesman who is reliable and wont overprice the job.
Also i might want one wooden door fitted but im undecided on whether that needs to be done. Im painting the room before hand and will then remove all of the furniture so you can just get on with the job.
Not 100 percent sure of the start date because it depends what time i can get off work but it will more than likely be in a couple of weeks middle of march time. Would be grateful if you could get back to me as soon as possible with a quote either by phone or email.

Renovation to kitchen and hall floor
- Location: Ashbourne
- Hired: Award Flooring UK
- Trade: Flooring
- Positive feedback on 2nd Jul 12
Job Description
Repair/ replace floor in 1950's house - think it may be asphalt floor - floor is uneven and broken - hall and kitchen
* Added 21st June, 2012 :
I measured the hall and it is 96cm x 450cm. It is a bit of a z shape - with 2 extra bits 93x 165 and 93 x 63.
The kitchen is roughly 3m x 2.4 m - with cupboards along the 3m side on both sides. So, the middle bit is 1.2m if you measure between the cupboards. It also has a small cupboard under the stairs that is 90cm x 90cm.
On one length under the cupboards where the sink, washer and dish washer are it is all the black stuff. On the other side there is an area which has been concreted - 1.30m long. The rest of the length is about 20mm lower than the rest of the floor and just subfloor concrete. The cooker goes on some of this and needs to be made up, as the cooker is currently standing on some bits of wood. The rest is under the cupboards. Hope this is not too confusing.

Laying new laminate in one bedroom
- Location: Ashby De La Zouch
- Hired: RT carpenter / joiner
- Trade: Flooring
- Positive feedback on 3rd Oct 11
Job Description
We want to replace the current flooring (which is a bodge diy job by some previous owner) with new laminate.
We are looking at this laminate: http://www.wickes.co.uk/real-wood-flooring/invt/199889/ and this underlaying http://www.wickes.co.uk/high-performance-underlay/invt/191372/
We want to either remove the skirting boards and putting them back in if possible, or replace them (to avoid having scotia strips in the room too).
The room is about 3.4 meters by 2.6 meters.
We'd like to have a quote and an idea of how long this job would take.
Cheers,
Mrs Moore
