We would like to get rid of carpets, sand and varnish the nice floorboards which are underneath, for the following rooms of a typical 3br victorian house:
- corridor (ground floor)
- reception 1 (4.3 x 3.8m)
- reception 2 (3.4 x 3.2 m)
- corridor (first floor)
- br1 (4.9 x 4.3 m)
- br2 (4.8 x 3.2 m)

We would get rid of the carpets ourselves. The job would then be:
- sanding
- draft proofing / repair if need be
- varnish

Visits on tuesday oct 23rd and wednesday oct 24th, from 9 to 5pm, in order to establish quotes.

We have a Victorian terrace with original floorboards. This job involves lifting some of these in the dining room to replace a couple of rotten joists, and then relaying.

Some of the floorboards are broken so we will need to replace these. We are currently sourceing them, but would like a quote for laying these as well.

Finally the hall floor is springy - we don't know if this is down to rotten joists or just a badly laid floor. We would like a quote to cover checking and making good this also.

We would like to get quotes in the next couple of weeks, to start work towards the end of the summer.

I had the flooring taken up for a plumbing emergency, leaving me with a hole of around a square metre in the corner of my kitchen. The rest of the kitchen is just chipboard resting on the joists, with laminate boards laid on top. I'd prefer the hole to be patched with solid plywood, and the laminate laid back on top if possible. There's a complication in that the corner of one of the fitted cupboards was resting on the chipboard, I'd need advice on how to deal with this - can supply a photo if necessary. Could you supply the plywood and dispose of the old chipboard also? Many thanks.

I want to fit acoustic underlay for both airborne and impact sound, in two rooms, hallway, landing.

Living room 25.4 m/sq;
hallway 3.04 m/sq;
Bedroom 11.02 m/sq;
landing 2.16 m//sq

I'd like Quietfloor Plus (or other recommended system) in living room and adjacent hall way.

I'd like simpler system in bedroom and landing: possibly A10 acoustic underlay on top of 1 or 2 sound mats.

Rooms can be cleared of furniture.

Ideally tradesman to supply the materials.

NB: There are 4/5 places in rooms where I would like creaking floorboards to be screwed to joists before the sound insulation is put in place. There are currently hardboards on top of timber, which would need to be lifted and reaffixed in the relevant spots.
Two doors would also need to be trimmed.

I am the current tenant, organising the work on behalf of landlord.
