Need fencing at bottom of garden, two large oak trees at bottom of garden.

Both trees around a 1m trunk girth and stand within garden but other side drop down of about a meter to public area.

keen to employ a fencing solution that will be both secure (i.e. no gaps to public open space on other side of fence) and versatile to accommodate any tree growth while not damaging the trees.

Consider we need a fence construction that allows flexibility in positioning the posts, ie closeboard as opposed to lap panels. So posts can be positioned as near to the trees as roots will allow & board up to it from either side.

Also had advice that the fencepost holes are hand dug so as to avoid significant roots.

We do not want the fence to be attached to the trees.

The fencing at the rear of my property requires replacement. The fence runs the length of one side and most of the back - up to a gate, which completes the length

What I would like is as follows (This may end up being cut-down, if it exceeds my budget)

1) Side - Existing fixed wooden panels and wooden posts (with concrete supporting base posts) 4 panels 182cm width; 1 panel 42cm wide; height of all 182 cm. To be replaced with slot-in panels, concrete posts and gravel boards. Overall height of new fencing to be unchanged (182cm). Width of new panels to match back panels (see below)

2) Back - Replace three fence panels - 4 panels 182cm width x 152cm height - Existing concrete posts and gravel boards to remain in place.

3) Gate - New wooden gate / gate-post - Width of gap for gate (including old gate post) 114cm - Height of new gate (plus any surround) 182cm

Removal on existing fence and posts required. All wood to be pre-treated with preserver.
