Edinburgh City Council have agreed to pay half of the cost of a new wooden fence between my garden and my neighbour (a council tenant). The fence will need to be the same style as the fence on the other side of the garden - ranch style I believe it's called. Length approx 7 metres, height approx 1.5 metres.

The old fence will need removing and disposing of appropriately. There should be sufficient space for you to work especially as plants have been cut back. My neighbour has a storage box near but I don't see that being an issue.

In order to be paid you must provide an invoice with a breakdown of labour costs and material costs, this is a requirement by the council. I will pay you and the council will then refund me half.

Access is via the back garden gate beside a road, parking space can be a bit difficult, yellow lines etc.

You may also like to quote separately for painting the fence to match the other fence. I will ask the council if they are willing to contribute towards that too.
