Replace my garden fencing and back gate
- Location: Sittingbourne
- Hired: Fitzgibbon Carpentry
- Trade: Fencing
- Positive feedback on 23rd Jul 11
Job Description
I need to replace my back garden fencing. It's only a small job but it's important that it look good.
Currently there are two 6x5 featherboard panels fitted on concrete gravel boards and to concrete posts, a matching back gate (6x3'3) and two other similar panels that were made to fit the remaining gaps. These panels are 6x 4 and 6x 3. (approx measurements) not on gravel boards.
Ideally I would like someone that several years experience and is reliable and can provide good quality fencing. Fencing should be pre treated fencing that is going to last. I have recently looked at Jackson fencing with a 25 year guarantee and were really impressed with the quality and finish but it's a bit on the pricey side. All gate fixings to be galvanised. It would help if I could see photos of previous jobs and customer feedback.
Approx 6 Panels and Concrete posts need replacing.
- Location: Chatham
- Hired: Paul Wood Landscaping
- Trade: Fencing
- Positive feedback on 5th Apr 11
Job Description
I have around 7 x 6ft wood fence panels and also concrete posts that need replacing.
This is not a straight forward job and posts need to go deep as garden on a slope and ground suface is higher than retaining wall. Last contracter i used only put posts around 12 inches in the ground and consequently they have now fallen down.
Quote needs to be to supply fit and clear site. Please do not quote blind, please arrange to come and see job first.. Thanks Bob

Replacement of Rear and Side fence
- Location: Chatham
- Hired: MP Fencing
- Trade: Fencing
- Positive feedback on 22nd Mar 11
Job Description
Rear fence has almost fallen down and needs replacing, preferably with Concrete posts this time. The width of the garden is approximately 28 feet, with the current rear fence extending beyond this into the two adjacent gardens and attaching to posts there.
The side fence also requires replacement and consists of 8 separate panels each, which I believe are 6x6 feet with wooden posts, but I’d imagine that concrete posts would be better replacements.
