Replace wobbly garden gate, replace rotten fence posts

  • Location: Welwyn Garden City
  • Hired: Thompson Fencing
  • Trade: Fencing
Job Description

This job has 3 requirements:

- The entry gate to our rear garden is wobbly and unstable. Either the existing gate or a replacement gate needs screwing into the wall and the lock latch needs attaching.

- The rear fence (furthest away from the house) has had several of its fence posts rot through thanks to wet weather and the fence no longer has structural support and leans as a result. The rotten fence posts will need replacing or repairing to regain structural integrity).

- A few fence panels adjacent to the back of the house have been damaged by strong winds or forceful vine growth and ideally need to be replaced to ensure they are able to cope with future weather.

Please include itemised labour and materials costs with your quote (ballpark figure for materials is fine).

Thanks !

Replace corner fence panels & rebuild small wall

  • Location: Hertford
  • Hired: JEFF-MAC
  • Trade: Fencing
Job Description

Corner boundary fence panel has collapsed. It is currently placed diagonally across the boundary but really needs to be fitted squarely so two new panels are required instead of the one currently. To do this the corner will need to be dug out/ cleared of weeds/debris before the new panels can be fitted. Also a small york stone wall needs rebuilding. We have the bricks they just need to be placed back on wall. In addition a new paving stone is required in the patio. I have the stone. It needs to be cut to size. Also the capstone on the pillar of entrance gate needs cementing back on and a couple of bricks on the front garden wall needs cementing back to main wall. Just little silly jobs really.
