We have moved to a 1850 cottage with 1960 and 1970 extensions. We wish to build a 2 story replacement for a flat roofed sun lounge and then extend further with single storey to give modern kitchen and dining room. Upstairs we plan to have a 4th bedroom with en-suite and walk in wardrobe. We also need to reconfigure the inside and demolish a porch and rebuild to create a hallway.

Job Description

I have completed the floorslab and now need some assistance in building the walls up to the wall plate.

The extension is part brick and part stone, the stone is coursed and cut to size, and therefore should go up like blocks. Lime mortar is to be used with an addition of white cement. The construction is 100mm brick/stone 50mm cavity infilled with Celetex followed by 100mm of celcon block.

I am hopeful that the windows and door will be available to be built in during the construction.

Brief;

Lay DPC over floor slab 1200 guage layer.
Build walls up to wall plate - variable wall heights from 12 block courses to 18.
Build in windows and door.

The dimensions are ~5.6 by 3.2m

I will provide the raw materials, and can provide a cement mixer, but will need scaffolding, any photos of previous work would be nice, and also confirmation of all liability insurance etc.
