The house is in Ash Bank, Stoke on Trent - A small 3 bed detatched.

The property has an old fuse box but the electrics are sound. Anyway can I have quotes for cert

Also some advice please - will it pass with a fuse box or will it need a consumer unit fitting prior to cert? If so quotes for both please.

1935 3 bed semi with attached garage with utilities. Last rewired 20+ years ago. Following reroofing now needs assessing for rewiring and some additional sockets and wall lights. Also replace 4 outside security lights and renew/replace alarm system if possible.

Moved into old house -

Need current electrics removing which is -
1)12 x plug sockets in each room of house. (chasers not channelled into wall)
2) Approx 9 light switches (mostly chasers and not channelled)
3) Electric points and cabelling where storage heaters used to be installed
4)RCD board for storage heaters (which have now gone)

Need putting in -
1) RCD baord housing all trips (currently 3!)
2)New light switches for rooms (currently in silly locations and not dug into plaster approx 9)
3) install adequate number of plug sockets for the house (approx 13)

All of the above need to be channelled into wall so out of sight and areas made good.

Hope all of the above makes sense?

We have had a wardrobe fitted and the old ceiling light fitting is now in the way of the wardrobe doors. Just needs moving a foot or two.

We also have a pull cord power switch in the shower room which has jammed in the on position. We would also like this fixed.

We have had an electrician come in and fit an electrical point for our cooker and hob. The box he fitted is quite big and sticks out just a bit too far. We can't fit our cooker into the unit due to this. It's just slightly too proud.

We're looking for someone to come in and either move the box slightly downwards or replace it with a smaller box. The box and switch are separate.

Should be a small job, and we're therefore looking for a cheap quote.
