We are looking for someone who can connect our new cooker. The cooker is a Leisure GRB6CVK-BK 60cm freestanding cooker and requires a HO5W-FG5 x 1, 5mm2 / 3 x 4mm2 cable which was not supplied. We also require a ceiling light fitted which does not attach to the original light fitting. We are happy to call to discuss.

Availability before 10.30am or after 6pm preferred.

I currently have one of the 2D 4pin lamp fittings type B in my bathroom where when the light switch cord is set to the on position it make the lamp turn on and the extraction fan at the same time.

I have changed bulbs before without any problems once they have had their lives worth but This time I have changed the bulb and the light still does not turn on fully. I thought maybe it was a faulty bulb so purchased another and still it has made no change. The light only partly comes on at the start of the two tubes of the 2D lamp but does not come on fully as it should. The extraction fan still comes on as it should.

The job I would like to request is take the exact same light fitting from the balcony and replace the bathroom fitting with this, or to repair the current fitting if it is possible.

I am moving my electricity meter from inside front room to front outside wall. I have a quote and details from electricity board on this, but need an electrician to do the most of the work. At the same time I would like the fuse box to be moved.

We had carpets fitted today and now our upstairs lighting is not working and the trip switch keeps sparking and going off when I try and turn it back on.

As an aside we also have another less urgent job where we do not get any power to our cooker hood which would also be good if someone could look at that.

I am looking for quotes on the potential wiring and installation of approximately 9 recessed ceiling lights in a kitchen ceiling of a two bed house victorian house in walthamstow. I would also like to install a pendant lamp in the same room above a breakfast bar. Ideally both pendant and recessed lights would be on separate dimmers.

The job would involve taking down the existing lights which are suspended on wires across the length of the ceiling before installing new lighting.

I am interested in whether the tradesman would have to carry out the work by going in through the floor above (to avoid joists etc) or be able to execute the wiring and installation from the kitchen. Minimal disruption to the home would be preferable, but equally id like to avoid a ceiling that ends up looking like a pepper pot. Ideally quotes would include the estimated cost of fixtures and installation.

Double socket in relatively recently rewired house has failed. Was running both a washing machine and umble dryer. All fuses ok and machines working on other sockets. Possibly a slave socket that has been overloaded but new baby means I don't have the time or headspace to do it myself!
