We have recently removed a brick planter from the front of our house. We need block paving to be laid over the existing space. The block paving will need to match the existing paving used on the estate.

The planter has left a space of 215cm * 250cm. Its not rectangular but as a guide the surface area is approximately 5.4 meters squared. The deepest point is 18cm.

The existing block paving is 200x100x60cm and laid in a herringbone format. The closest match we have found is the Marshalls brindle blocks. I would be keen for those quoting to check the existing blocks to be sure.

I would like to have my existing driveway extended, thus involving excavation of the lawn to the suitable depth, removal of earth. Fill the hole with boulder/stones to form sound foundation before laying the brick. That part of driveway edge is slightly raised, this needs to be taken off and can be used for the new edge, to form continuation with new drive.

Existing drive is crazy paving which has sagged or broken in many places. I want the old material removed and a new drive laid possibly using block paving (open to alternative suggestions). The new drive with its foundation must be strong enough to take a car. At present the entrance is 8 ft, I'd like this widened a bit to make parking easier. The drive slopes up from the entrance for 19 ft, then there's a flat stretch also of 19 ft to the garage. The lower part also curves around at the side to the lawn/bedding area and up to the doorstep, this curved part is about 10 ft wide at the top just below the steps. There is a low front wall of Marshallite bricks, this needs to be brought around on the side of the entrance to retain the flower-bed from sliding onto the drive. There is a manhole cover in the middle of the lower part of the drive, care will have to be taken over the pipes that run underneath. also there may be electric cables. I would consider having the front steps re-done if this would improve the overall look.

The work could be carried out either this Autumn or following Spring with dates by agreement.

The price will need to be competitive as im in the process of carrying out many, many home improvements, so money is a little tight lol.
