The area is approx 8 by 8 metres with a slight drop directed towards the house. I require a gravel drive with a step outside the front door and a small area to be mono blocked.

Our drive is paved with old concrete which is crumbling.

It is a square parking area in front of our terraced house with room for two cars.

There is a hedge on one side, and two small garden beds at the front of the parking area on either side of the house entrance, as well as another bed on the side opposite the hedge, all of which we would like to keep.

The drainage seems fine, but we would need advice on that.

No dropped curb is required.

My husband and I have discussed block paving, with finished edges around the garden beds. We would like to avoid grass and weeds growing up between the blocks.

Generally, the area is flat rather than inclined.

We have a block paved driveway and it butts up to the house wall in a number of places. We are starting to get brick exfoliation where this occurs, it is below the level of the damp course but still a worry. I was once told that there should be a pebble/shingle edging between the house and the block paving. I could do with somebody coming out to take a look and if necessary quote to install shingle edging?

New block paved drive into the property which will turn to meet existing block paved drive to form a carriage drive. Estimate about 75 m2 of new blocks (to match existing blocks) and some rework of existing drive/path to form seamless drive.

We live on a hill and our front garden is stepped as shown in the photos so there may also be a need for retaining wall. A site visit is recommended in order to give an informed quote.

The following additional works are required:

1. Build 3 x square brick pillars (2.8m high, 0.33m wide) with foundations to support porch roof.
2. Repoint front of porch roof and gutter runs on porch roof.
3. Point around base of front door.
4. Remove and rebuild front steps as semi-circular steps in block paving.
5. Remove side step and relay in block paving.
6. Remove 3 small concreted areas (less than 0.5 m2) in paving and relay with blocks.

Quote is to include supply of materials and removal/disposal of excavated material and vegetation. We would like this work done within the next couple of months.
