I am looking for some quotes to repair some penetrating damp which we have been told is being caused by defective gutters.

The house is located in Wanstead (E11 2 RG). There is penetrating damp in one of the bedrooms – it is a relatively small patch in the top right corner of the room (approximately 30cm long) but we would like it repaired before it causing any further issues. Our survey has indicated that this is due to defective gutters. I have obtained separate quotes to have the guttering repaired.

We are currently obtaining quotes for this work (repairing/replacing the plaster in the room, etc). While I appreciate that you will need to see the property to provide an exact quote, I am looking for an indicative quote/estimate.

We recently moved into property, there is some evidence of rising damp, also we believe that a chimney needs capping. Its a ground floor flat, all rooms with outside walls are effected in varying degrees. Alot of problems we believe because flat has not been lived in and therefore condensation and ventilation issues.
