Recent Survey of Property I bought states."Dampness is affecting ground floor walls at low level.I suspect this is due to the failure of the existing Damp Proof Course.Concealed Timbers may be defective,and all affected areas should be opened up and fully investigated"

The House is approx 117 years old.

One ground floor room in particluar is experiencing sigificant damp issues on its Internal wall eg Salt Deposits on Wall,Damp Patches on lower sections of the wall.
The Damp has started to penetrate through 3 Coats of DampPaint within 2 weeks.

Recently near the Damp Interior Wall when it has been raining some rain water has started to appear on the exposed timber floor which joins the skirting Board in the room

This room is located adjacent to an outside Drain.The Pavement next to this drain running alonside the damp exterior wall is also extremely wet with green moss growing etc.

The exterior wall of the ground floor room with the sigificant damp issue,also has wet patches on various Bricks and numerous White Patches forming.In addition there is Moss growing in between various bricks.

I had a porch window removed and bricked up last year. Plasterboard was put up on the inside. Area approx size 6 ft 10inch long and 2 ft 4 inch wide. The Plasterboard was painted over and some coat hooks put up (into the plasterboard). Mold has started to come through the painted plasterboard from the bottom up. I've had no luck in getting back the builder who did the original work. Don't know if the outside needs re-rendering. I assume the plasterboard on the inside will need to be replaced?? I'd like the job to be looked at asap.
