I live in a semi-detached house in Kilburn/West Hampstead, the property is more than 150years old. The room our the stairs has suffered from damp for many years and was 'damp proofed' once before during the 1990s. This has obviously not been very successful. There are visible areas where plaster is collapsing and a general damp feel to the room - although only in one area of the room and it is above head height.

1. 3 Air Bricks need to be fitted on the outside wall of the property.
2. The damp proof around the property needs to be cemented over.

Remedy damp patch on wall in dining room in second floor purpose-built 1930s flat.

The patch was said (by British Gas whose 'HomeCare' agreement did not cover it) to be caused by condensation. It was hidden by a mirror behind which mould grew.

have damp in a 90 sq ft cellar of a Victorian conversion and want to see what is needed to convert it into useable storage. also an exterior lightwell needs digging down and a membrane inserted and up the walls, as damp is penetrating into the the interior walls that back on to the lightwell (bathroom wall, living room wall.) This was spotted in a building survey.
