Two adjacent walls required the work . Total area: 11 metres length, 1.5 metres high, 30mm deep.

Job Description
Own a victorian semi and suffering from what I think is damp in two rooms.
In the dining room (has suspended floor over void) there is a line of 'damp' at dado height along one internal wall (this wall is above a small cellar) and also at a similar height on opposite external wall; also in the front room (solid parque floor) issues from damp / possible condensation in the bay window - wall paper damp / peeling.
The house does have a damp course (surveyed when purchased 3 years ago) but question how well this is working!
Looking for honest opinion on what the issues are and cost of addressing them.

Small dapm proof job (rising damp)
- Location: East Ham
- Hired: gpsplastering & damp proofing
- Trade: Damp Proofing
- Positive feedback on 14th May 13
Job Description
One small wall, 1.5 m length. Damp proof course needs to be injected and contaminated plaster requires hacking off, then re-plastered. There is a door with a new wooden step (same wall) and not sure what needs to be done with that bit + two little corners in the other room that also needs same as the 1.5 m wall. See photos of the wall and both corners.
It looks like there is a rising damp issue, when skirting board was off I could see that someone had a go damp proofing it, but either it wasnt done properly or it wasnt repleastered. I read that it should be done either with sand/cement with water-proofer/salt inhibitor in it or pre-mixed plaster such as Thistle Dri-Coat or Tarmac Limelite.
Would like it done ASAP.

Remedial damp proofing in rear addition kitchen
- Location: Upper Holloway
- Hired: Smart Maintenance
- Trade: Damp Proofing
- Positive feedback on 12th May 13
Job Description
This is a Victorian property. Several smaller existing rooms were merged to make a larger kitchen in 1983, and a damp course was installed. The ground level on one side of the kitchen is above floor level. By 2008, the lower part of some of the walls and pillars showed some peeling and swelling. A 'French drain' was dug outside, a new damp course installed, and some of the plaster, thought to be the problem, was replaced. Further remedial work was done in 2010, but there are now hairline cracks in some of the plasterwork and some of the skirting board, added in 2008 is being pushed away from the walls. I have not been able to make contact with the company who did the work in 2008/2010, and would welcome further advice.
