We're buying a house and have just received our Building Survey Report which has identified several instances of rising and penetrating damp.

The house was built in approximately 1900, a Victorian semi with 3 bedrooms, 2 reception rooms, bathroom and kitchen.

We'd like to get a quote for a survey and any remedial work that is required.

I was hoping that someone could come and inspect (and provide a quote for remedial actions) a patch of damp in the wall and skeiling of one of my upstairs bedrooms. The plaster is starting to crumble and mildew is starting to appear. I suspect the problem has been caused by water leaking through a hole in the fascia boards made by nesting birds, but I cant be sure.
