Damp proof
- Location: Liverpool
- Hired: BBC Home Improvements Ltd
- Trade: Damp Proofing
- Positive feedback on 13th Mar 13
Job Description
I have damp on one wall of the kitchen extension and of the porch and have been told it is because I need a new damp course in those rooms. (the extensions are below the level of the floors of the main house, and the damp is at the level of the damp course on the main house). I was unhappy with the quote and the builder who gave it. Therefore, I would prefer if someone came out and gave me a free, no obligation quote for the work. I require someone who has the appropriate trade qualifications to carry out this kind of work.

I am at present removing my old kitchen before my new one is due to be delivered and fitted on the 23/1/13. While removing some of the units, I found there is heavy black mould and a strong damp smell on the lower half of one wall. I am hoping to find someone who can remedy the problem at short notice.
I do have a plasterer who can replaster the inside.
The property is an old semi-detached and the problem wall is part of an original

Job Description
I was not sure quite which category to add this under. I have a small area of damp under an upstairs window. I am concerned it could be due to either the window being inadequately sealed, problems with the guttering above it or something else entirely! I am therefore aware it won't really be possible to quote me a price but I am postingthe job to find someone who would be willing to come round and investigate/complete the necessary work.
