I have damp on one wall of the kitchen extension and of the porch and have been told it is because I need a new damp course in those rooms. (the extensions are below the level of the floors of the main house, and the damp is at the level of the damp course on the main house). I was unhappy with the quote and the builder who gave it. I am at present removing my old kitchen before my new one is due to be delivered and fitted on the 23/1/13. Hi, we have just bought a 30s semi and discovered what appears to be rising damp in a number of walls, inc the party wall. Not sure if rising damp or a drainage issue.

There is evidence of rising damp in our terraced house - crumbling plaster under the wallpaper. This has appeared in a couple of places. It does not appear to be too bad at present but we would like to get it sorted to avoid it getting worse.
